According to information shared with applicants, candidates who successfully met the initial application criteria have been invited to participate in an online assessment test. The firm noted that only shortlisted individuals will receive communication detailing their assessment schedule, format, and login instructions.

PwC stated that the assessment is designed to evaluate candidates’ analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and overall readiness for a professional services environment. “This stage is a critical part of our selection process, aimed at identifying candidates who demonstrate strong potential and alignment with our values,” the firm said in its communication to applicants.

Candidates have been advised to check their registered email addresses regularly, including spam folders, to avoid missing important updates. The company also emphasised that the assessment window is time-bound, and failure to complete the test within the specified period may lead to disqualification.

While PwC did not disclose the total number of applicants or shortlisted candidates, the Graduate Trainee Programme remains one of the most competitive entry routes into the firm, attracting thousands of applications annually from across Nigeria.

The firm further clarified that progression to subsequent stages, including interviews and final selection, will depend on performance in the assessment test. “Only candidates who meet the required benchmark will proceed to the next phase of the recruitment process,” the notice added.

PwC, one of the “Big Four” professional services firms, continues to position its graduate programme as a pathway for developing future leaders in audit, tax, and advisory services, with a structured training and mentorship framework.
