Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko has launched another empowerment initiative aimed at supporting families who have lost their caregivers, low-income earners, and women. The program focused on distributing tricycles to help them generate income and meet daily needs.

The event featured the distribution of electric, petroleum, and solar-powered tricycles to over 70 beneficiaries from low-income households. It took place in the presence of Senator Wamakko, the Minister of State for Works, Barrister Bello Muhammadu Goronyo, the Deputy Speaker of the Sokoto State House of Assembly, Hon. Kabiru Kware, the Deputy Speaker of the Gombe State House of Assembly, Hon. Sadam Bello, and other political and religious leaders.

While presenting the tricycles, the Minister of State for Works, Barrister Bello Muhammadu Goronyo, urged beneficiaries to use the vehicles wisely to build sustainable livelihoods. He stated that “the tricycle can generate up to ₦40,000 weekly, equivalent to ₦160,000 per month,” adding that such empowerment programs play a key role in reducing unemployment and promoting small-scale business growth.
