President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially launched the Renewed Hope Social Impact Program for Women, Children, and Families, aimed at empowering vulnerable groups and boosting development across Nigeria.
Speaking during his visit to Nasarawa State, President Tinubu expressed satisfaction over the visible progress in the state. “Today in Nasarawa, I witnessed the results of focused, people-centred leadership, and I was proud to commission projects that reflect what is possible when vision meets action,” he stated.
The president commissioned key infrastructure projects including the Lafia Flyover, State Secretariat Complex, roads, underpasses, and other vital developments. According to him, these are “strategic investments in a state rising with purpose.”
Beyond infrastructure, Tinubu stressed the importance of mindset change. “Nasarawa is building with purpose, investing in its people, creating jobs, empowering women, and ensuring that the gains of democracy are visible in the lives of citizens,” he added.
The president commended Governor Abdullahi Sule for his leadership and urged other state leaders to focus on delivering progress. He also praised the governor’s efforts in improving security. “His provision of operational vehicles to security agencies strengthens our collective resolve to protect lives and property. A secure Nigeria is a prosperous Nigeria, and Nasarawa is leading by example,” Tinubu noted.
While in Nasarawa, the president launched the Renewed Hope Social Impact Program, highlighting practical initiatives such as Power774, WAVE, and the Clean Cooking Project, which are designed to empower women farmers, rural households, and vulnerable families.
Tinubu applauded Nasarawa for becoming a CEDAW City, recognised globally for promoting women’s rights. He also acknowledged the efforts of the Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, describing her as “a tireless advocate and true daughter of Nasarawa state.”
“Nasarawa is proof that Renewed Hope is not theory. It is delivery. We must keep building,” President Tinubu concluded.
