The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced the launch of the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme (NJFP) 2.0, a new and improved version of the national youth empowerment initiative designed to connect high-potential Nigerian graduates with meaningful work experiences. The upgraded programme, funded by the European Union, is described as “a stronger, smarter version” that aims to build young Nigerians’ employability and professional skills while driving socio-economic development.
According to the UNDP, NJFP 2.0 is created to help graduates kickstart their careers, gain valuable real-world experience, and make a lasting impact in their chosen fields. “We’re excited to unveil NJFP 2.0, a stronger, smarter version of the programme designed to connect high-potential Nigerian graduates with real-world work opportunities across the country,” the agency stated.
Applications for NJFP 2.0 will officially open on 22nd October 2025 at 5:00 PM (WAT). Interested graduates are advised to get ready to apply and ensure all documents are prepared before the application portal goes live.
The programme is open to Nigerian citizens who are fresh graduates from any discipline, holding either a bachelor’s degree or HND certificate, and who graduated not earlier than 2022. Eligible applicants must have obtained at least a Second-Class Lower (2.2) for a bachelor’s degree or an Upper Credit for HND holders. Applicants must be 30 years old or younger, unemployed, and must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) or possess a valid exemption certificate.
Applicants are required to provide a notarized degree certificate, NYSC certificate, CV, NIN slip, and BVN. The selection process will involve completing an online application form, a computer-based aptitude test, a psychometric assessment, and a short video submission answering the question, “What makes you the ideal NJFP Fellow?” Videos longer than 60 seconds or exceeding 10MB will be disqualified.
The UNDP encouraged young Nigerians to “stay tuned, set reminders, and get their documents ready,” adding that NJFP 2.0 will serve as a vital platform for youth employment and career growth in Nigeria.
