Women Affinity Groups (WAGs) are small groups of about 25 women aged 18 years and above who come together to improve their livelihoods through savings, support, and business activities.
The initiative is part of the Nigeria for Women Programme (NFWP) Scale-Up Project backed by the Federal Government to help women become financially stronger and more independent.
According to the programme, members of a WAG are expected to have legitimate means of livelihood and work together in trusted groups to support one another.
