The Zamfara State Government, through the Zamfara State Scholarship Board, has approved full scholarships for 20 qualified students from the state to study at El-Amin University, Minna, Niger State. The approval was announced in Volume 01 No.04 of the Board’s update dated Monday 15th December, 2025.
The scholarships were approved by the Executive Governor of Zamfara State, Dr. Dauda Lawal, as part of efforts to expand access to quality higher education and empower young people for national development. The award covers the full cost of tuition and targets academically qualified students.
The approved courses include Law, Accounting, Business Management, Criminology and Security Studies, Economics and Development Studies, International Relations and Diplomacy, and Mass Communication. Science and technology courses listed are Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Data Science and Analytics, Microbiology, and Software Engineering.
Speaking on the initiative, the Executive Secretary of the Zamfara State Scholarship Board, Professor Rasheedah Liman, said the scholarships are designed to support students “to excel in diverse and strategically important disciplines that will contribute to Zamfara State and Nigeria.”
Programme is expected to benefit youths.
