Zamfara State has officially won the bid to host the next edition of the Arewa Tech Fest, one of Northern Nigeria’s biggest technology events. This announcement was made during the ongoing festival in Katsina. Dr. Habib Gajam, the Executive Secretary of the Zamfara Information Technology Development Agency (ZITDA), delivered a keynote speech on behalf of Governor Dauda Lawal.
Dr. Gajam spoke about the Governor’s plan to use technology for socio-economic development, youth empowerment, and digital transformation. He said, “Zamfara is committed to building a strong tech ecosystem through inclusive policies and strategic partnerships.”
This win marks a big step for Zamfara as it positions itself as a fast-growing ICT hub in the North. With rising interest in digital innovation, tech events like ArewaTechFest support job creation, tech investment, and youth entrepreneurship—all key drivers of economic growth in Nigeria.
