Information reaching Nigeria Startup News on Saturday warns the public about a fake recruitment rumour involving the Federal Road Safety Corps. This update comes after claims spreading on social media that FRSC has started a new recruitment exercise.
According to the Corps, the attention of its leadership has been drawn to these misleading posts misinforming Nigerians. The agency stated that it is not recruiting and that there is no arrangement in place for any recruitment process. The Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed, advised applicants and the general public to disregard what he described as “fake and misleading publications.”
He explained that FRSC recruitment has always been transparent and properly announced through advertorials on the agency’s website, social media platforms, and the National Traffic Radio 107.1FM. The public was warned to avoid any engagement with scammers promoting the rumour because the Corps will not be responsible if anyone becomes a victim.
The statement was signed by Olusegun Ogungbemide, Assistant Corps Marshal and Corps Public Education Officer, who also provided official contact emails for verification. He reiterated that Nigerians should rely only on verified information from the FRSC and encouraged anyone seeking updates on employment opportunities to follow official channels to reduce the risk of online fraud and protect their personal data from unauthorized individuals at all times.
