Sterling Bank has announced the launch of the NigeriaIsArt Nationwide Photography Challenge, inviting young Nigerians to share moments that truly feel like home. The bank said the competition aims to celebrate everyday experiences that define life in the country and encourage creative expression across communities. According to the organisers, “Home isn’t just a place, it’s danfo rushes, laughter, and delicious food.”

The challenge asks participants to capture simple moments that reflect their truth about Nigeria. Sterling Bank explained that entries could show anything from the taste of smoky jollof on a Sunday to the early morning danfo rush or even a colourful weekend owambe. “Show us your truth, the Nigeria you love, through your own lens,” the bank stated.

To participate, entrants must post an image that shows what living in Nigeria looks like to them, write a short caption explaining why the moment matters, use the hashtags #NaijaIsArt and #SterlingXAke2025, and tag @Sterlingbank on Instagram and Sterling_Bankng on X. Participants are also required to have or open a Sterling Bank account through sterling.ng/onebank to qualify.

Winners stand a chance to receive ₦300,000 cash and have their work displayed in the Sterling Digital Museum, a move expected to support digital creativity, boost online visibility, and encourage financial inclusion.

The bank noted that the challenge is part of its collaboration with Ake Arts and Book Festival, described as one of Africa’s major gatherings for writers, musicians, filmmakers, poets, and thinkers across the continent.
