Yiaga Africa, with funding support from the European Union, has opened applications for its Ready to Run Bootcamp, a programme designed to train young Nigerians who want to pursue careers in politics and leadership.

The organisation said the initiative is aimed at preparing young people with the knowledge, skills, and support needed to participate effectively in the political space.

According to Yiaga Africa, the #ReadyToRun campaign is “dedicated to inspiring and supporting young Nigerians for leadership,” particularly those interested in contesting elections or becoming active in governance.

The one-day immersive training will expose participants to practical areas such as effective campaign strategies, ethical fundraising methods, visibility channels, and political communication.

Selected participants will also receive political education, mentorship from experienced politicians, media and public speaking training, and guidance on policy development and legal compliance.

Yiaga Africa said the bootcamp is open to aspirants aged 25 to 35 years and will take place in Kano, Lagos, Enugu, and Gombe.

The organisation added that women and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply via www.readytorun.ng/get-involved.
