FG to Launch Data Protection Training for 5,000 Nigerian Youths

The National Commissioner and CEO of the Nigeria Data Protection Commission, Dr Vincent Olatunji, will join the Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Ayodele Olawande, to launch the Data Protection Training Programme for Nigerian Youths.

The event is scheduled for July 25, 2025, at 9:00 AM at the Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja. This national initiative will train over 5,000 young Nigerians in digital literacy, privacy rights, and data protection. “Come be a part of history where youth meet innovation,” the organisers said. The programme prepares youths for careers as future-ready Data Protection Officers in Nigeria’s growing digital economy.
