The National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) has strongly warned the public against false information circulating online about an ongoing recruitment exercise. In an official statement, NBTI stated it is not hiring and urged Nigerians to ignore such deceptive claims.
“The attention of the National Board for Technology Incubation (NBTI) has been drawn to misleading information being circulated by certain individuals, falsely claiming that the organization is currently recruiting new staff,” said Reuben Shagu, Assistant Director and Head of Information and Public Relations.
He added, “We wish to categorically state that NBTI is not conducting any employment exercise at this time. The public is hereby advised to disregard such information in its entirety, as it is false and intended to deceive.”
NBTI emphasized that its current focus is on vital national initiatives. This includes admitting new incubatees and entrepreneurs into its Technology Incubation Centres, which are available across all 36 states in Nigeria. These centres support youth empowerment, tech startups, and small business growth.
Another key activity is the conclusion of the NextGen Innovations Challenge 2025, currently at the national stage. The challenge is aimed at identifying two competitive, solution-driven innovations from each state. These selected innovations will soon be showcased to global investors in London. The initiative also supports the development of a national innovation databank.
The public is advised to remain alert and avoid falling victim to employment scams. “NBTI will always communicate genuine opportunities through its official channels,” Shagu added.
