GetBundi has announced the launch of applications for TechSis 2026, its digital skills initiative for African women, with a $250,000 scholarship fund aimed at training 3,000 women across Africa and the diaspora.

The EdTech company said the programme will provide free online training for women of African descent between the ages of 18 and 40 in high-demand digital fields including Content Creation, Digital Marketing, Data Analytics and Video Editing.

According to GetBundi, the four-month programme will be fully funded under the scholarship initiative, while participants who want to receive certificates after completion will pay an optional $10 certification fee.

Applications for the 2026 cohort will open on May 15, 2026, and remain open for 30 days.

TechSis was launched in 2023 as part of efforts to close Africa’s digital gender gap and increase women’s participation in the technology ecosystem.

The first edition trained 500 women in Coding, while the 2024 cohort expanded to 1,000 women in Web Development and Data Analytics. In 2025, the initiative trained 1,500 women in Data Analytics and Cybersecurity, showing steady growth in participation and course offerings.

Speaking on the launch of TechSis 2026, GetBundi founder, Osita Oparaugo, said the initiative is focused on helping African women gain skills that can improve their access to jobs and economic opportunities.

“Our mission is to equip African women with the digital skills they need to drive innovation, secure meaningful employment, and achieve economic independence,” he said.

He added that the programme is designed to help women participate actively in the global digital economy beyond just technical learning.

“We are creating pathways for African women to enter and lead in the digital economy,” Oparaugo stated.

GetBundi also disclosed that through its partnership with Doballi, a Dubai-based remote talent platform, some TechSis graduates have already secured international remote job opportunities.

Founded as an African EdTech platform, GetBundi focuses on STEM education and digital skills training aimed at preparing learners for the future of work.
