The disbursement formed part of an interactive engagement session convened by the Director General, Babangida Ruma, who met with Focal Persons and Business Development Service (BDS) Corps drawn from all 34 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Katsina State. The session aimed to deepen collaboration between the agency and grassroots representatives serving as a link to local entrepreneurs.

According to Ruma, the engagement was structured to “strengthen our connection with communities, particularly underserved areas, by working closely with those who understand the realities on ground.” Participants used the forum to raise concerns, share field experiences, and provide feedback to improve programme delivery.

He noted that insights gathered would help KASEDA better align its interventions, training, and support initiatives with the needs of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the state.

The DG added that the nano grant scheme is designed to provide immediate relief and working capital for small businesses operating in challenging environments.

KASEDA said the initiative reflects its broader mandate to expand access to economic opportunities, noting that ongoing efforts under the administration of Dikko Umaru Radda are focused on inclusive growth and MSME development across all communities.
