The National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has announced that registration for the 2026 May/June In-School Certificate Examinations and the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) is currently ongoing nationwide.
The announcement was made by the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, Dr. Mohammed Aminu Mohammed, who disclosed that registration for the 2026 May/June In-School Examinations will officially close on Sunday, May 31, 2026.
He also stated that registration for the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) will end earlier on Sunday, May 24, 2026.
Dr. Mohammed urged schools, parents, guardians, and prospective candidates to complete the registration process before the deadlines to avoid last-minute issues that could affect participation in the examinations.
According to him, NABTEB has simplified the registration process through dedicated online platforms designed to make registration easier and stress-free for schools and candidates across the country.
“For the May/June In-School registration, schools are expected to request slots through their respective State Offices, capture candidates using the NABTEB Biometric Software, and complete registration through the official portal,” he said.
The Board explained that schools are also required to obtain login details from State Offices before proceeding with payment and registration on the school portal.
For candidates registering for the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE), NABTEB said Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) can be obtained through State Offices before registration is completed on the Common Entrance portal.
The Board added that candidates can also independently create accounts online, log in, and complete their NCEE registration without physical assistance.
Schools intending to carry out bulk registration for candidates are equally expected to obtain login details from State Offices before completing payments and registration through the designated student portal.
Dr. Mohammed reiterated NABTEB’s commitment to using technology to improve examination administration and service delivery nationwide.
He further advised candidates and school authorities to carefully follow all registration guidelines and ensure that candidate information submitted during registration is accurate.
NABTEB also encouraged members of the public to visit the nearest State Office or access the Board’s official registration portals for support and further clarification.
