June 2, 2025 – The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) will soon start its first local postgraduate scholarship scheme to boost education and human capital in the region. Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, the NDDC Managing Director, shared this news during a visit to the ongoing foreign postgraduate scholarship interviews in Port Harcourt. “We are introducing a local version to reach more people,” he said. According to him, 600 beneficiaries from the NDDC mandate states will be selected.
Meanwhile, the foreign scholarship interviews will end this week, and successful candidates will travel abroad by June.
