Anambra Ministry of Health 2025 CBT Holds July 18th and 19th

The Anambra State Ministry of Health has officially announced the Computer-Based Test (CBT) dates for its 2025 health workers recruitment. According to the Anambra State Civil Service Commission, the CBT will take place on 18th and 19th July, 2025.

A statement from the Commission reads, “Applicants for the Anambra State Ministry of Health recruitment exercise shall be writing a CBT on the 18th and 19th July, 2025.” All candidates who submitted applications are encouraged to check their names and exam schedules through the link provided by the Commission.

“Applicants are hereby informed to check their examination schedule and details as published,” the Ministry added.

Candidates are expected to arrive at the exam venue with a valid means of identification. Accepted forms include the National Identification Number (NIN) slip or ID card, a voter’s card, or an international passport.

Participants should take note of their exact date and time of examination. “Candidates will NOT be allowed to take the test outside their assigned date and time,” officials warned.

Items such as mobile phones, bags, or unauthorized materials are strictly prohibited at the CBT venue.

The exam will be held at Kachukwuru Ventures ICT Hub, Awka. For those unfamiliar with the area, directions were shared: “From Aroma Junction in Awka, board a Keke heading towards Ukwoji Quarters by Ukwaki. Ask the rider to stop at Bewell Pharmacy. Once you alight, look slightly to your right—you will see Kachukwuru Ventures, also known as the Staff Development Centre, Awka.”

Candidates are urged to be punctual, well-prepared, and fully compliant with the rules set for the health workers recruitment exam.

Nigeria Civil Defence, NSCDC Announces 2025 Recruitment Under CDCFIB

July 14, 2025 – The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has officially opened massive recruitment portal for 2025. The exercise is organised under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB). In an official statement, the NSCDC called on interested and qualified Nigerians to apply for full-time job opportunities to fill existing vacancies within the Corps.

The advertised categories include for NSCDC include Category A General Duty (Superintendent Cadre), which has only CONPASS 08 positions available. Category B Inspectorate Cadre positions include Inspector (CONHESS 06) and Assistant Inspector (CONPASS 06) while Category C Assistant Cadre vacancies are available for Assistant II (General Duty) – CONPASS 04, and Assistant III for general duty, drivers/appliance operators and artisans (CONPASS 03).

The Corps has made it clear that the application process is absolutely free. Job seekers have been warned to stay away from fraudsters and fake websites.

July 14, 2025 – The Federal Fire Service (FFS) has officially declared the commencement of its 2025 recruitment exercise. This was confirmed by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), calling on interested Nigerians to apply for vacant positions.

According to the CDCFIB, “the recruitment is for full-time appointments into various cadres of the FFS.” The positions are grouped into three major categories.

For Category A General Duty, vacancies under Fire Service include Assistant Superintendent I (CONPASS 09) and Assistant Superintendent II (CONPASS 08) while Category B Inspectorate Cadre has openings for Inspector (CONHESS 06) and Assistant Inspector (CONPASS 06).

In Category C Assistant Cadre, available roles are Assistant II (CONPASS 04) for general duty and Assistant III (CONPASS 03) for general duty, drivers, appliance operators, and artisans.

Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) Begins 2025 Recruitment

July 14, 2025 – The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has officially opened its recruitment portal for interested applicants across the country. This announcement was made under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) for full-time appointments into various vacant positions.

The recruitment covers three categories, with opportunities for both graduates and non-graduates seeking federal government jobs in Nigeria.

The available positions include Category A General Duty, under which Superintendent Cadre: Assistant and Superintendent II, CONPASS 08 are advertised. Category B Inspectorate Cadre vacancies are only open under Assistant Inspector, CONPASS 06.

Tech4Dev Cancels DFA 2.0 State Level Assessment

Tech4Dev has announced a major update regarding the Digital for All Challenge (DFA) 2.0. The organization revealed a technical glitch that impacted the test experience during the State Level phase of the competition.

“To keep things fair for everyone, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel and reschedule the State Level assessment,” the team shared.

Participants who had already taken the test are advised to remain calm as the glitch was unintended. The team emphasized that fairness, transparency, and equal opportunity are key values behind the Digital for All Challenge.

“We understand this might be frustrating, especially if you’ve already taken the test, and we’re truly sorry,” they added.

ARISE Youth Skills 2025 Call for Tech Exhibitors

Akwa Ibom State Ministry of Youth Development has officially announced a Call for Exhibitors for the upcoming ARISE Youth Skills Week (AYSW) 2025, scheduled for 14–15 July 2025. The two-day event will take place at IBOMLED, IBB Avenue, Uyo, and begins daily at 8 AM.

Held in celebration of World Youth Skills Day, the event is themed “Youth Empowerment through AI & Digital Skills”. According to the Ministry, “This initiative supports the ARISE Agenda of inclusive youth empowerment and aims to create opportunities for young innovators, startups, and entrepreneurs.”

The exhibition is open to participants aged 15 to 35 years from Akwa Ibom State, with categories covering both tech and non-tech innovations.

Tech exhibitors are encouraged to showcase products and MVPs related to AI for Education, Fintech, Creative AI, AgriTech, AI in Governance, AI for Health, Green Tech, Smart Living, Surveillance, and AI in Travel and Tourism. Youth-led tech startups are also welcome.

FMC Jabi, Abuja Free Cervical Cancer Screening for Women

In a major public health effort, Al Sadaqah Jaryah Humanitarian Organization, in partnership with hospitals and healthcare professionals, is offering a free cervical cancer screening for women.

The Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Jabi, Abuja will host the screening from 14th to 16th July 2025, between 10am and 2pm daily at the Colposcopy Unit/ANC Clinic.

“This initiative is for all women aged 21 to 65,” the organizers announced, emphasizing the importance of early detection. The event includes an awareness session on cervical cancer, followed by a professional Pap smear test. Female staff will provide private and respectful care.
