Local Automotive Development and Innovation: NADDC Partners with VON

The National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC) welcomed Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace, the Director General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), on February 21, 2025. He and his team visited Mr. Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, the Director General of NADDC, at the Council’s office in Abuja.

The visit was to build a strong partnership between both organizations. They want to use the media to promote Nigeria’s car industry and innovation.

Malam Jibrin Baba Ndace said the media is very important in telling good stories about Nigeria and Africa. He explained that for the world to know about Nigeria’s growth and new ideas, the country must share its stories well. He also said that VON can help in this because it broadcasts in English and eight other languages.

Mr. Ndace offered to support NADDC by using VON’s platform to share their work. He said it is important to let people know about NADDC’s projects, such as promoting cars that are good for the environment. He also said these efforts match the Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to improve transportation in Nigeria and make the country more self-reliant.

In response, Mr. Osanipin thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for choosing the right leadership for VON. He said that VON’s wide reach can help spread NADDC’s message. He added that their teamwork will help Nigerians understand the government’s efforts to improve the car industry.

This partnership is a big step in helping Nigeria’s car industry grow. It will show the world what Nigeria can do while also supporting local development.
