GTBank has announced a change in its SMS alert fee. Starting Thursday, May 1, 2025, the charge for each SMS alert will increase from ₦4 to ₦6. This change is due to a rise in telecom charges as updated by the mobile network providers in Nigeria.

Transaction SMS alerts are important for account security. They help you track every activity on your account, including debit alerts, credit alerts, and ATM withdrawals.

Customers who no longer want to receive SMS alerts can switch to email notifications. You can download the transaction alert form from the GTBank website and send it to gtbankmailsupport@gtbank.com.
