OSOPADEC has extended the application deadline for its 2024/2025 Scholarship and Bursary Scheme, giving eligible students from Ondo State oil-producing communities more time to complete and submit their applications.
The Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC) announced that the new deadline for the scholarship and bursary application is now Monday, June 1, 2026.
The extension was disclosed in an official notice signed by the Executive Chairman of the commission, Prince Olabiyi Olaeye Poroye.
According to OSOPADEC, the decision was taken to ensure that all qualified applicants have enough time to complete their registration process and upload the required documents before the portal closes.
The commission said the extension reflects its commitment to supporting students from Ilaje and Ese-Odo Local Government Areas who are currently studying in tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
“This extension is in line with the Commission’s commitment to ensuring that all prospective applicants are given adequate time to complete their applications and submit all required documents,” the statement read.
OSOPADEC also urged all interested and qualified indigene students who are yet to apply to take advantage of the extension before the new closing date.
Eligible students are expected to complete their applications through the official OSOPADEC scholarship portal at osopadecbursary-scholarship.org.
The scholarship and bursary scheme is one of the commission’s educational support programmes aimed at reducing financial pressure on students from oil-producing communities in Ondo State.
Over the years, the OSOPADEC bursary and scholarship programme has become a major source of educational support for undergraduates and other tertiary institution students from the mandate areas of the commission.
Students applying for the scheme are advised to ensure that their personal details, academic information, and supporting documents are correctly uploaded before the application deadline expires.
Prince Poroye reiterated the commission’s commitment to educational development and human capital growth in the oil-producing areas of Ondo State through programmes targeted at students and young people.
