The Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun, is now receiving applications for teaching and non-teaching positions. Candidates applying as Professors should have at least 26 research publications, with about 40% published in offshore journals. Those applying for Associate Professor must have 22 publications, while Senior Lecturers should have at least 15.

Academic metrics such as H-index, i10-index, and active profiles on Google Scholar, Scopus, and ResearchGate are considered in the selection process. For Lecturer I, at least 8 articles are expected, while Lecturer II may apply with a PhD or a Master’s degree plus a professional license. Assistant Lecturers must have at least a Master’s degree.

Non-academic positions such as Technologist I/II and Clinical Instructors require a good first degree or HND, along with a valid professional license from the relevant council or board. These positions are crucial for supporting laboratory and clinical functions within the university.

The university is looking for applicants who are not only academically sound but also show potential for teamwork, leadership, and future growth. Those with experience in winning research grants will be at an advantage during the recruitment process.
