The She Code Africa Laptop Scholarship Programme is now open for applications for another quarter, offering support to women across Ondo, Adamawa, Edo, and Ebonyi States who are building careers in technology.
The initiative, sponsored by HP, aims to remove one of the biggest barriers facing many aspiring women in tech: access to a personal laptop.
Why the Laptop Scholarship Matters
For many African women, starting a tech journey is driven by passion, but sustaining that journey depends heavily on access to the right tools. A lack of a laptop often limits learning, prevents participation in training programmes, and blocks access to remote opportunities.
The She Code Africa Laptop Scholarship was designed to tackle this challenge directly. By providing laptops to women in its community, the programme opens doors to learning, mentorship, and income-generating opportunities.
These laptops are not just devices. They serve as tools for:
- Learning new digital skills
- Participating in training and mentorship programmes
- Building real-world tech projects
- Accessing remote jobs and freelance opportunities
Who Can Apply
The programme is open to women and girls who are passionate about pursuing a career in technology, whether they are beginners or already on their learning path.
What Selected Beneficiaries Will Receive
Successful applicants will benefit from:
- A personal laptop to support their tech journey
- Access to apply for She Code Africa Academy programmes
- Mentorship opportunities within the community
- Support towards securing full-time roles, certifications, or launching tech-driven businesses
Opportunities for Sponsors and Partners
She Code Africa is also calling on companies and individuals to support the initiative by sponsoring laptops and resources for beneficiaries.
Available sponsorship options include:
- Full Sponsor
Covers laptop cost, logistics, programme support, and tracking - Laptop-Only Sponsor

Women looking to advance their tech journey are encouraged to apply before the deadline.
