BAUCHI, NIGERIA — The Bauchi State Scholarship Board has officially denied the rumor circulating on social media about the commencement of the 2024/2025 scholarship registration for Bauchi students.
In a press release dated July 6, 2025, the board described the post as “unfounded, totally unofficial and misguiding.” The statement urges students and the general public not to fall victim to fake news or fraudulent registration claims.
“Arrangements are being concluded for the immediate disbursement of the 946 million Naira (N946m) approved by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed (Kauran Daukar Usmaniyya), to the state students who applied for the scholarship,” the board clarified.
The Information Officer and Public Relations Officer, Comrade Dahiru Adamu, added that the state government remains committed to supporting the academic goals of students both within Nigeria and abroad.
The board also emphasized that the official scholarship registration portal is not open yet and warned applicants to avoid false platforms.
