Moniepoint is set to launch its Innovation Hub at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, on May 25, 2026, as the fintech company deepens its push into Nigeria’s university innovation ecosystem.

The launch ceremony will hold at Oduduwa Hall from 9am, according to the official programme released by the company.
The event is expected to bring together university executives, tech stakeholders, founders, students and traditional leaders, with representatives from OAU, University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), and Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria scheduled to participate.
OAU Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adebayo Simeon Bamire, will deliver an address during the ceremony, while the Ooni of Ife is also expected to give a goodwill message.
The programme will feature a fireside chat with Tosin and Mayowa of Culture Custodian, alongside a joint signing ceremony involving the vice-chancellors of the three universities.
A tour of the proposed OAU Innovation Hub site is also scheduled as part of the event.
Moniepoint said the initiative is aimed at supporting innovation, entrepreneurship and technology development within Nigerian universities as interest in startup incubation and digital skills continues to grow across the country.
