The Kwara State Government has announced that everyone benefiting from the Kwara State Social Investment Programme (KWASSIP) must now register with the Kwara State Residents Registration Agency (KWASRRA). This is to make sure that all social investment opportunities go to the right people using accurate and verified data.

This new order was shared in a statement by Dr Abdulwasiu Olayinka Tejidini, the General Manager of KWASSIP. The statement was made available to Erudite online media earlier today. It explained that the purpose of the KWASRRA registration is to build a strong and reliable database of beneficiaries to help with effective planning and social inclusion.

“Residents will receive a unique State Security Identification (SSID) number or card after registration,” the statement said. This SSID will help with easy identification and make sure that documentation is in place during fund disbursement.

The release also made it clear that no resident will be able to receive any financial benefits from KWASSIP unless they have their SSID number. This rule affects all citizens and legal residents of Kwara State.
